About the role

On Chollo.es and Descuento.com.mx, members share thousands of deals and comments every week. As Community Moderator you make sure that conversation stays useful, friendly and trustworthy, so that the best deals rise to the top and spam or misleading posts never do.

What you will do

  • Review deals submitted by members: check prices, links and conditions, and approve, edit or reject them.
  • Moderate comments and discussions according to our community guidelines.
  • Answer questions from members, both publicly and through private messages.
  • Spot and remove spam, duplicate posts and self-promotion.
  • Recognise active members, highlight great contributions and help new members get started.
  • Report trends, recurring issues and feature ideas to the editorial and engineering teams.

What we are looking for

  • Native Spanish speaker; good written English for team communication.
  • Familiar with online shopping in Spain and/or Mexico.
  • Calm, fair and tactful, also when members disagree or are frustrated.
  • Comfortable making quick, consistent moderation decisions.
  • Available for some shifts in the evening or at weekends, when our communities are busiest.

Nice to have

  • Previous experience moderating a forum, social media channel or online community.
  • Knowledge of the Mexican market and Latin American Spanish.
  • An active member of a deal community yourself.

What we offer

  • Fully remote: work from wherever you are most productive.
  • Flexible hours, agreed together around what your role needs.
  • A small team with short lines: your work is live the same day.
  • Real ownership over a market or part of the platform.
  • The contract form depends on your country of residence; we discuss this with you.
