About the role
All fifteen of our websites run on a shared platform that we build ourselves in Laravel. It serves millions of visitors a month, processes product feeds and transactions from more than twenty affiliate networks, and powers the tools our editors and moderators use all day. You will join a small engineering team that owns this platform end to end.
What you will do
- Build and improve features on our deal community and voucher code platforms.
- Keep the sites fast under high traffic: caching, query optimisation and efficient front-end delivery.
- Integrate and maintain connections with affiliate network APIs for programmes, deep links and transaction tracking.
- Improve search and discovery, including our Meilisearch-based search.
- Develop internal tooling in Laravel Nova for editors, moderators and partnerships.
- Write tests, review code and help keep the codebase clean and well documented.
What we are looking for
- At least 3 years of professional experience with PHP and Laravel.
- Solid knowledge of MySQL, Redis, queues and caching strategies.
- Experience with Git-based workflows, automated testing and code review.
- Comfortable with HTML, CSS and Tailwind; able to build clean, accessible front-ends.
- Good written English and the discipline to work independently in a remote team.
Nice to have
- Experience with Laravel Nova, Meilisearch, Laravel Forge, Envoyer or Laravel Cloud.
- Knowledge of affiliate marketing, tracking or high-traffic content websites.
- Experience with static analysis (PHPStan/Larastan) and tools like Rector and Pint.
What we offer
- Fully remote: work from wherever you are most productive.
- Flexible hours, agreed together around what your role needs.
- A small team with short lines: your work is live the same day.
- Real ownership over a market or part of the platform.
- The contract form depends on your country of residence; we discuss this with you.
